Basement Bathroom Progress: The Sink Nook

Well, it has been a looong time since we ventured into our weird little basement bathroom on the blog. I thought I'd start updating you on progress we've made. Today, I'll share our very odd sink nook. Here is how it is looking now (unstyled, sorry -- I'll pretty it up for a real bathroom reveal).

Need a reminder of what it looked like before we totally ripped apart this bathroom?
Here is the before:
You can probably see why we're excited about the progress, even if it is just a simple cheapie sink/vanity from Ikea:
Hard to take a picture of these cute knobs, but in person they're a very pretty mercury glass.
Also, you no longer have to search for the sink! Before, the door opened in and the sink nook was hidden behind it, only to be seen or used if you closed the door. Now, the door opens out into the hallway (which is plenty wide). The whole bathroom feels sooo much bigger thanks to this small change. You can see what I mean in this photo, which also gives you a bigger sneak peek at how the rest of the room is shaping up.

We're getting close to calling this bathroom done. We've stuck pretty closely to our original mood board, full of very budget friendly picks:
If you're catching up, here are the before pics (aka the ugliest bathroom ever) and here are our plans

Thanks for visiting!
