Benjamin's Baptism (And A Beautiful Home)

This post is quite overdue, but back in October we celebrated our little man's baptism. It was a fun day shared with our nearest and dearest, and I thought I'd share some of the pictures with you. I tried to snap some that included the godfathers' (yep, there are two of them) home, where a really fun reception took place, because it is spectacularly beautiful. Hope you enjoy!
I'll start with a few photos of the ceremony. We kept it short and sweet. Matt's grandfather (a Reverend) and a family friend (a Priest) co-presided over the ceremony. It was perfect. We are thankful to have Benjamin's Aunt Alicia, Uncle Kevin, & Uncle Adam as his godparents who were obviously a big part of the ceremony as well.
(Those are the godparents with little Ben during the ceremony, above)
Here's Ben with four of his seven living great grandparents
(and yes, there have been some remarriages if those numbers didn't make sense to you).
And here is Matt and I with Ben and Charlie (our godson). Charlie is the last of our generation and Benjamin is the first of his.
Following the ceremony we went to Kevin and Adam's amazing house in a gorgeous part of Toronto known as The Annex. It is an old home that has been beautifully restored and designed with a modern aesthetic. One day I'll give a fuller tour of it I'm sure, but on baptism day I managed to remember to take a few pics of the party set-up and the rooms the party was in (basically the main floor, which is quite open-concept).

You can kind of see more house details in these next shots if you look past the people.
Isn't this gallery wall amazing? A mixture of photos, inexpensive prints, and original art. And, though not a great photo of it, check out the cool light fixture (above the banquette-style kitchen table).
In the above picture, you can see al little of the sitting area and ottoman. These next shots show their coffee table ottoman and decor on it a little bit. The yellow lacquer tray is from West Elm (actually, a lot of the stuff in the house is).
Here you can see the adjacent kitchen, though they are not ideal photos... I think the two-toned cabinetry, sleek hardware, stainless steel, and black light fixtures work so well together.
A big thank you to Kevin and Adam for opening up their home to us. Although they will likely never read this :)

Oh, and before I go, I wanted to share our invitations for the event (I love paper invitations for parties - I'm old fashioned). We used Tiny Prints to create them and were super happy with them. Good quality, and you can always find a coupon code. We may be getting our holiday cards done there as they are all on sale with an additional 20% off your entire order if you enter "save20" at checkout. Just FYI. By the way, I don't work for or get paid by Tiny Prints, I just like to pass along a recommendation from personal experience and cost-saving tip now and then.
For obvious safety reasons, I've blurred out some of the info, but you get the idea.
And the back:
