White & Grey Kitchens

I have always loved white kitchens, and one day long to design my own big beautiful kitchen. Today, I'm going to show you some spaces that have inspired our own kitchen refresh, which I'll be sharing all the details of this week.
We have decided to work with greys and white, drawing from our existing granite countertop (which has dark grays, blacks, and pinkish tones -- not what we'd pick, but certainly a great countertop that we are not going to replace). We'll also probably work in some hits of aqua and blues so it flows with the other rooms in our condo. So, these inspiration photos are all in the white and grey and touch of blue colour family. Enjoy!

In this one, I love how the cabinets pop against the darker grey walls. I love the french doors, pendants, height of the cabinets, and ample seating at the island. However, it is about the size of our entire apartment...

I adore this next one, with the pretty glass cabinets and bold floor. Sadly, we have no glass cabinets and no plans to replace our cabinet doors, which are in great shape despite being quite ugly.
I also have a real thing for using different colours on upper and lower cabinets or on the surrounding cabinets versus the island, as in this one. However, in a kitchen as teeny tiny as ours, two tones are definitely not happening.
A pop of colour can really make a grey and white space spectacular. We do plan to incorporate some colour, but we aren't sure how yet. Probably in a rug and a few accessories, and maybe by painting the back of our billy bookcase.

And here are some other pretty grey and white kitchens:

Isn't Megan's kitchen the best? (well, actually, her closet is the best, but her kitchen rocks too)

And John and Sherry's pretty kitchen (and amazing makeover) can't be missed

Well, better get back to sorting out our place - we are tackling some new "art" and lighting and whatnot since Matt has the week off. Come back soon to check out our kitchen paint makeover!
