Design Inspiration: Yellow and Blue

Today, I'd like to share with you some amazing blue and yellow infused spaces that are inspiring some ideas for adding a few touches to our living/dining room.
Rooms like this:

Love the touch of grey, the pretty white china, the flowers, the floors, the beadboard...

You may recall what our living room looked like last year when I showed it to you here. There have been some changes, like new sconces(!) and a mirror. But in truth, most of the ways the room has evolved are not so pretty... it now features bouncy seats and baby swings and burp cloths strewn about. We are thinking, however, that we'd like to rejuvenate the room a little. The throw pillows are showing their age, and the room  no longer feels fresh. We also need to add more storage to the space somehow.

Today, I'll share some of the things that are inspiring me. We are keeping our big colourful piece of art -- a cheapie from Ikea purchased ten or so years ago -- because it makes us smile. From it, we've decided to pull blues and yellows to accent our very neutral walls and furniture. That way, we can change it easily later on if we get bored. So, without further ado, some inspiring blue and yellow spaces...

Love this headboard fabric, the little benches, white chandelier, and especially that ceiling!

This last photo -- more of an aqua colour -- is what I think we've settled on. Looking forward to making some changes in our living room!
